Time to Ride combines live station readings, forecasts and swell data so you can make a faster call before heading to the water.
One live alert when measured wind crosses your threshold. It will not repeat while the wind stays above it, and it rearms after the wind drops below the threshold.
Every live wind reading while the temporary mode is active. Choose 0.5 to 5 hours; it turns off automatically when time is up.
Forecast-based updates when the nearest useful forecast changes. A cooldown keeps these pushes from becoming noisy.
Alerts are saved automatically for the notification spot. Delivery timing can vary by device, browser and network.
Smart ride alerts look for a useful forecast window instead of sending every forecast change. They match the forecast with your ride time and minimum session length, plus wind criteria for wind/SUP or swell height, swell period and wind direction for surf.
Use Preview to check the current smart result immediately without waiting for a real notification trigger.
Recommended if you check conditions often. Installation adds Time to Ride to your home screen and opens it like a standalone app. It is optional and does not change forecast accuracy.
The app shell and recently viewed data may remain available offline, but an internet connection is required for fresh readings, forecasts and alerts. On iPhone/iPad, installing to the Home Screen may be required for web notifications.
